Remembrance Day – Strathfield War Memorials

Strathfield War Memorial Opening Invitation (1925)
Invitation to the opening of the Strathfield War Memorial (1925)

Today is Remembrance Day where we observe one minute’s silence at 11 am to remember those who died or suffered for Australia’s cause in all wars and armed conflicts.

On this day in 1918 the guns of the western Front fell silent after more than four years of warfare and we honour those who have fallen in the service of their country.

This site contains information on the War Memorials in Strathfield, Homebush and Enfield as well as recollections of wartime in Strathfield
